Toni Lucas

Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded to two unrelated fires on Wednesday, August 6, and Thursday, August 7, within eight hours of each other.  The first fire call occurred at approximately 8:00 pm for a grass fire near Burmis.  Beaver Mines and Lundbreck Fire Departments responded and the fire was easily contained.

The second call occurred at approximately 3:30 am at Sproule Feed Lot.  A four wheel drive tractor that was adjacent to the shop caught on fire.  The tractor was destroyed, and there was some damage to the shop exterior.  Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded with Engine 11 and a tender.  The fire took approximately two hours to contain.
