Blue-green Algae bloom advisory issued for Chain Lakes Reservoir

Alberta Health Services - A blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) bloom has been identified in Chain Lakes Reservoir. Residents living near the shores of this reservoir, as well as visitors to this reservoir, are advised to take the following precautions:

Cattle corral panels stolen from Chain Lakes area property

RCMP Alberta - The RCMP is seeking the public's help in an investigation into the recent theft of approximately 12 cattle corral panels from a property west of Nanton, near Chain Lakes, Alberta. Police believe the theft occurred sometime during night of Wednesday, August 31 to Thursday, September 1. The stolen "2W" brand panels were grey in colour.
