Father's Day was celebrated in style by Loretta Packham and her crew in the Ranchland Mall on Friday, June 13. She decorated her restaurant, "Mrs. P's", in the mall with records, 1950's and '60's tunes were playing, and Packham and her staff dressed in era costumes. Two unmistakable decorations for her themed display were a '69 Mustang owned by Jim and Donna Cisar and a '39 Chevrolet Master 85 owned by Milt and Gaybe Capps. The owners loaned their cars for the afternoon, to the delight of Mrs. P's diners.

The fathers that came to Mrs. P's Friday night supper enjoyed looking at the cars and dreaming of a different time. Packham is not usually open on Sundays and started the nostalgic theme for her Friday Father's Day celebration years ago. "Other decades have some sadness," she said. "You can always get a smile of anyone's face when you talk about the 50's."
