Snowman contest at Ranchland Mall open to the public

The Ranchland Mall is filled with cool looking characters. Snowmen are featured from one end of the mall to the other, some with a voting box beside them.

Although most of the entries are by local businesses in the mall "Anyone can enter a snowman," said organizer Loretta Packham of Mrs. P's Coffee Corner. You do have to register your entry with her as she is putting up a prize of $100.00. The winner will be the snowman that has the most public votes when she  does the tally on Thursday evening December 19.

The snowmen will still be on display during Mrs. P's "Twas the Night Before Christmas" dinner event on Friday, December 20.  "It went over big last year," said Packham. The staff dress in jammies, there is entertainment, and the famous story is read aloud.

The winner of the snowman contest will be announced at the dinner that runs from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
