The incident occurred on June 11, 2013 when the accused discovered 2 black bears feeding on his unsecured garbage twice during the night.
During the early morning period one of the bears returned to continue feeding.
The accused at this point released his dog to chase off the bear.
The bear proceeded to leave the location when the accused made the decision that he would shoot the bear while it walked away northbound on the main roadway. The bear died shortly after from the gunshot wound.
The accused received a $2000.00 fine and a one year hunting suspension.

A one year suspension from hunting is not enough!!
