In Style Salon opens in the Ranchland Mall

In Style Salon was opened in the Ranchland Mall early in October by owner Megan Trodden.  The salon offers stand-up and lay-down tanning, gel nails, pedicures, manicures, waxing, hair services, clothing, accessories and lotions.  Drop in on Friday November 15 during Moonlight Madness, and see the new stock she has put out that day.  The salon will be open until 9:00 pm during Moonlight Madness.

Accessories and jewelry 

Antique cabinets are set up to display jewelry, clothing, accessories, soaps and lotions inviting one to browse through in the front retail area.

One of the many unique pieces of furniture is a large wooden cabinet.   "Well, I know personally how many times I have gone to town for a tanning appointment and had my lotion on the heater of my car," explained Trodden.  Knowing that she would soon be opening her own salon she asked her grandfather John Bruns for a solution.

"I had my grandpa build me these mail boxes so that my customers could leave their tanning lotion here and not transfer them back and forth. It took my grandpa about two months to build, and a lot of staining.  He built the pedicure box stand and the front desk as well."  The front of the desk is decorated with old wooden rulers that have been stained to match the colour scheme of the salon.
