St. Michael's Dragons Junior Girls volleyball team hosted their counterparts the Nanton Raiders on Tuesday evening November 5.

Dragons vs Raiders
The Raiders have been practicing hard, but the Dragons have been as well.  The serving was quite strong, and the Dragon girls played their positions well.  The Dragons won all three sets.

The Junior Girls Dragons also attended a tournament scheduled for November 9.  "We attended the far west girls A volleyball league tournament in Kainai this past weekend," explained Dragons Coach Krizan.    "It was a single knockout format, and we played against WCCHS (Cobras) from Claresholm.  The first match showed promise, as our girls were in it but lost, and we came up flat in the second game, and were done.'

"The season saw a lot of improvement, particularly in serving and playing of position."

Coach Krizan was not working alone this season.  "A big thanks to Emily Milligan for coaching the girls, as she did a great job, and the girls responded well."
