I'll be wearing my musician hat on Saturday morning, September 14 at Heritage Acres' 2013 Fall Fair, performing a selection of old-time country favourites and forgotten gems for the passers-by on the veranda of the train exhibit building. In the afternoon I will be ensconced in the upper level of the big red Doukhobor barn with a video camera on standby to document the stories of Pincher Creek's past. You're welcome to visit with me and share your stories. The intent is to help build a library of reminiscences that capture the spirit and history of the area.
The final results, if any, will be donated the Heritage Acres' growing archive of historical materials.
Heritage Acres Farm Museum's 2013 Fall Fair takes place from September 13 to 15 and will include a pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings starting at 7:00 am and a multitude of other events and attractions. Their Annual Show was washed out by severe rain in August, so the events planned for it will be part of the Fall Fair program. For more information visit http://heritageacres.org
