"This has to be the youngest moose I've ever seen," said Shellie Byers. Traveling on Highway 6 on Saturday Shellie and her husband noticed the calf in the ditch. The couple stopped to take a few photos. They tried to spot the calf's mother, but never saw her. Byers concern was that the mother and the young calf had gotten separated on opposite sides of the highway, or by flooding. The couple stayed until the baby chose a side to be on and went into pasture land. "I can only hope this had a happy ending, and that mom found the baby" said Shellie.
