At their June 24, 2013 regular meeting Council for the Town of Pincher Creek awarded the contract for a 2013 waste water system upgrade that is to be installed between Lodge Avenue and Poplar Avenue and from Hyde Street and Schofield Street to Chinook Pipeline LP.
Chinook Pipeline LP was the only company to bid on the contract, with a bid of $321,250 plus GST.
"We're well within a very reasonable process tender," said Town of Pincher Creek Director of Operations Al Roth. "It is one hundred percent MSI (Provincial Municipal Sustainability Initiative Funding) funded."
The project was already planned as a 2013 budgetary capital expenditure.
Roth said that the job is scheduled to start within the next three weeks, and he currently understands that it would have a completion date 40 days after the project begins.
