  • Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for Pincher Creek, Waterton Lakes National Park, and Crowsnest Pass, Okotoks, Kananaskis.
  • Up to 80 to 100 millimetres of rain expected by Saturday

A slow moving weather system is bringing rain to parts of Southwestern Alberta today through Saturday. Total rainfall amounts of 80 to 100 millimetres are expected, especially over higher terrain.

Rain should begin to taper off from the south starting on Friday as the system slowly drifts north and weakens. Forecast regions along the periphery of the warned areas will also see significant rainfall amounts with up to 50 millimetres possible by Saturday. Heavy rainfall warnings may be expanded to surrounding regions as the system evolves.
