Sparwood A's narrowly defeat Junior Dust Devils

Pincher Creek's Junior Dust Devils faced the Sparwood A's on Sproule Field May 21, 2013.  The age range for these athletes is from grade 7 to grade 9.  The Sparwood team is composed of athletes from Sparwood, Elkford and Crowsnest Pass.

Deloy Mackenzie slides into 3rd

The A's are a confident team who brought their best skills to the plate consistently throughout this game.  Their #12 pitcher is aware of the action on the bases at all times, ready to take out a player that strays too far from any base.  Dust Devils pitcher #43, is a cultivating talent who is at his best when he acts on his instincts.  When he does, it is beautiful to watch.

The Dust Devils demonstrated a lot of heart and a real love of the game, and seem to be very supportive of each other.  They out-hit the A's, but the A's made it over the plate more often, winning the game 7-5.  The Dust Devils are now 0-2 for the season, but showing a great deal of promise.
