St. Michael's Elementary Students present Easter play

Stations of the Cross was the theme as Grade 5 students of St. Michael's School honoured the anniversary of the last supper with a play, engaging in a tradition that goes back to at least the 15th century, when Christians traveling to Jerusalem developed the concept of a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer reflecting the sufferings of Christ as he was led to his crucifixion, his death, and his rebirth.

The students were attired in simple but effective costumes as they illustrated each of the Stations with a brief vignette and a prayer.
