Rail crossing repairs detour Highway 4 traffic near Lethbridge

Motorists are advised that Highway 4 traffic will be detoured south of Lethbridge to accommodate rail crossing repairs.

The detour begins at 6 a.m. on April 23 and will be in effect until 8 p.m. on April 24, weather permitting. The detour affects both northbound and southbound traffic. Passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks will be detoured to nearby local roads.


Northbound heavier truck traffic will be detoured north on Highway 845 and then west on Highway 3. Southbound heavier truck traffic will be detoured to eastbound Highway 3 and then southbound on Highway 845.

Motorists should use caution in this area and obey all signs and message boards.
