Paving reduces lanes on Highway 879 near Foremost

Motorists can expect periodic lane closures on Highway 879 north of Foremost.

Paving begins April 24 and affects the highway between Foremost and the junction with Highway 3. Traffic may be reduced to alternating single lane through the construction zone controlled by flag people.

Project completion is expected by June 1, weather permitting.

Motorists should use caution in this area and obey all signs, message boards, and flag people. Fines for speeding are doubled in construction zones when workers are present.
