Pincher Creek's Novice Chinooks earned a substantial win over the Kainai Hawks at the MCC arena on Saturday December 6 in what was a game that the Hawks would like to have had on a different day. The Hawks had a severely shortened bench because of sickness, with most of their players and their starting goaltender not making the trip. The Chinooks were able to cruise to a relatively easy win with their full squad. Kainai's players had no one on the bench to relieve them and had no time to rest between plays making it hard to keep up to the Chinooks.
Once again the Chinooks were able to stand strong, backed by their starting goalie Zack Haan who only let in 1 goal, and their star forwards Jayden Draper and Jaxxon Shenton, who made a majority of the team's goals. Kanai's sole goal came from Mackenzie Wells, who had some great chances to put more up on the board but only came away with one.
