On Friday November 7 some grade 11 and 12 students of Matthew Halton School delivered 560 pounds of food to the Pincher Creek Food Bank.  The Food Bank and the McMan Agency that runs it wish to express their sincere thanks to the students for the donation.

The initiative to collect and deliver the food was part of the school's Inspiring Change program.  The students decided to run a campaign called "We Scare Hunger", and to that end they collected non perishable food items, in person on Halloween night and through the use of a drop off bin at the Pincher Creek Co-op.  We Scare Hunger is part of an international campaign by Free The Children which encouraged students hold a food drive and/or trick-or-treat food instead of candy.
