The OHS Code documents the specific rules and requirements governing health and safety practices in the workplace. As part of a regular review of Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Code, Albertans can share their views by completing an online survey (click here).
“This review is part of the regular business of making sure our health and safety rules keep pace with best practices. Albertans drive our economy – we want to hear from them. Your feedback will help keep people safe.” - Honourable Ric McIver, Minister of Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour
The proposed changes will update the OHS Code. Feedback is also being sought on a variety of areas, including issues such as:
- Bullying and harassment in the workplace
- Health and safety management systems in the oil and gas sector
- Workplace air quality
- Underground mines
The survey will be open until January 31, 2015.
