Thank you from the Lepine family

Five years ago we moved in to this community, not knowing the area, not knowing a soul. We made the move from Calgary hoping to find a more family oriented community, somewhere where people would know us, somewhere where our kids would be safe playing at the neighbourhood park.

Well we found that and much more. We found a home, a community where the word itself still means something, the perfect place to get married. We came into a little slice of heaven where everyone helps each other, a place where if one family suffers we all do.

On July 24 of this year my family lived through a life changing accident that has effected us in many ways, hard times were waiting just around the corner. Our house renovations are now at a complete halt, we are half completed, and I may not be able to complete them anytime soon. Finances  having been cut to a third now, my wife is working longer hours to make up for some of the difference.

But out of all this came lots of good, miracles, a community has come together very strong, some people we hardly know, some that have been good friends since we moved here. In both situations you are all now considered our family and friends for life. Thank you.

We'd like to take this opportunity granted by once again friends that really did not have to do this, Chris Davis and the whole team at the Voice.

We'd like to start with my wonderful in-laws, Doug and Jane Goddard thank you for all you have done.

I wish I could thank everyone of you name by name but I'm afraid I'd reach my word limit so please accept my general Thank You to the whole community, from individual donations to group donations, a special thanks to Angels Within Us, to the EMT team and to all our great medical staff. Every single donation, be it time, food, meals, gift cards, I know you have all had to sacrifice in a way to keep our family going and for that we thank you dearly.

It is the most touching and generous act of kindness we have ever been the recipients of and that is why in our heart and our words, Pincher Creek will always be a little slice of heaven that only few will ever experience, thank you for taking us in as one of yours, we will forever be in your debt with pleasure.

Thank you all, thank you Pincher Creek residents, thank you friends.

- The Lepine family (Sasha, Chase, Colin, Kelly and Pascal)
