Sabres defeat Dragons in Boys JV and SV volleyball

Livingstone School's gymnasium was the site of the first volleyball games of the season for hosts the JV and SV Sabres and their St. Michael's Dragons counterparts.

First up were the JV (Junior Varsity) teams.  Despite some good moments from the Dragons, the Sabres had the upper hand from beginning to end, winning all three sets by scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-10.  The scores were similar for the SV (Senior Varsity) sets.  The Sabres dominated the first set, easily winning it 25-11.  It wasn't that easy for them again.  The Dragons began to gain some headway in the the middle of the second set, which saw the two teams tied several times with the Sabres pulling ahead at the end to win it 25-17.  The third set was the most dramatic of the evening, with the Dragons almost taking it away from the Sabres, but in the end it was Sabres 25 - Dragons 22.

Props to Dragons senior "Rap" Paolo, who was a primal motivation machine during his team's effort, and to the Sabres entire, who were well in tune with each other during this their first game of the season, in only the second week of the school year.
