Diane Burt-Stuckey and Terry Oczkowski receive service awards from Town of Pincher Creek

At the regular meeting of Pincher Creek Town Council on September 8, 2014 Mayor Don Anderberg presented Director of Community Services Diane Burt-Stuckey with a watch for her 35 years of service to the Town, and Public Works Coordinator Terry Oczkowski with a gift certificate for his 30 years of service.


Anderberg praised Burt-Stuckey for her years of dedicated service, and for the work that she did for the 2014 Pincher Creek Southern Alberta Games (SASG). "You are well thought of in our community, and in other communities as well," said the Mayor as he presented her with a watch.

"It's been a fast 35 years," said Burt-Stuckey. "My goal when I came here was if I lasted 18 months, I was doing good. I don't know where the time's gone by."

Anderberg then addressed Terry Oczkowski. He spoke of all the behind the scenes work that the department of Public Works does, and how involved Oczkowski is both at work and in the community. The Mayor brought to attention that Oczkowski also played a major role during the recent SASG. "During the Summer Games Terry was the point man for all the issues, and for the organizing committee," explained Anderberg. "The reports I got from those people, you went above and beyond, Terry, to make sure the Summer Games went off without a hitch."

"It's been a pleasure," said Oczkowski . Oczkowski added that this was the third time that he and Burt-Stuckey had worked together on a SASG hosted in the town of Pincher Creek.

"They have both done so much behind the scenes above and beyond their regular calling. Thank you both for all your time and efforts," said Mayor Anderberg.
