Slow Pitch tournament underway this weekend

Ten teams tangle in a two-tier tournament for two more days this weekend. The Pincher Creek Slow-Pitch League is filling all three diamonds at Juan Teran Park for their annual season-end event. Each team is guaranteed at least 3 games. There will be home run competition and fastest base runner competitions for males and females starting at 1:00 pm Saturday and the final playoffs will be held on Sunday, August 10.

The weather is forecast to be hot and sunny, Pincher Creek Co-op is donating their community barbeque (bring your own meat), and the competition is quite entertaining, judging by the opening games on Friday evening.  Come out and cheer on your favourites.

Next weekend:  Senior Huskies fundraiser tournament

There will be another softball tournament at Juan Teran next weekend as well.  That one is a fundraiser for the Senior Huskies hockey team, and will be held August 15-17.
