Project Coordinator Janet Sauerwein of Brighter Futures was delighted with the turnout at the Napi Friendship Center Pancake Breakfast held on Friday morning, August 15.  Prepared for any weather, there were tables set up both inside and out for people to enjoy their meal.

Albert Prairie Chicken and Peter Strikes With a Gun performed live music for the crowd. "They have both been very supportive of Napi Friendship Centre," said Sauerwein.

Sauerwein explained that this event was a combined effort on behalf of the Napi Friendship Centre, Brighter Futures, Alberta Family Literacy, and the Healthy Homes Visitation Program.

Michael and Sasha with a caterpillar
There were visitors young and old, and a few moments of wonder were captured when 6 year old Michael and his sister Sasha showed off a fuzzy caterpillar that they found.  Micheal said when it walked on his skin "It tickles".
