Suspect in Tanner Sinclair murder turns himself in

According to www.yukon-news.com and multiple other sources, a Whitehorse man accused of the second degree murder of former Pincher Creek resident Tanner Sinclair turned himself in to the West Shore RCMP detachment on Vancouver Island during the noon hour today, July 25. Michael Thomas MacPherson, 32, will be brought back to the Yukon to face multiple charges.

Sinclair was stabbed to death in the early hours of July 15 in Whitehorse.

A Whitehorse based fundraiser to support the family of Tanner Sinclair has reached nearly $100,000. Pincher Creek residents who wish to contribute to a locally based fund for Sinclair's wife Whitney, daughter Keele, and an unborn child can click here for more information.

A memorial service is planned for Tanner Sinclair at the Pincher Creek Community Hall on Monday July 28 at 1:00 pm.
