Former Pincher Creek resident Tanner Sinclair died after a stabbing incident in Whitehorse early Tuesday morning, July 15, according to www.yukon-news.com, www.veooz.com, and multiple other sources.

Whitehorse RCMP issued a second degree murder arrest warrant for Michael Thomas MacPherson, who is considered armed and dangerous. "The RCMP urges the public not to approach Mr. MacPherson or his vehicles, but to immediately call 911 or the RCMP complaint line,” the RCMP said in a press release. Investigators say Macpherson could be heading for British Columbia or Saskatchewan, where he is said to have connections. Macpherson is described as a Caucasian male, 5'10", 220 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He could be driving either a 2002 Brown/Gold Cadillac Escalade with Yukon plate HHS50 or an older red Honda Civic with several dents and a missing driver-side door handle.

RCMP and paramedics were called to a Whitehorse home at approximately 12:20 am, where Sinclair was found still conscious and breathing. He was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital where he later died.

According to www.veooz.com, friends and neighbours describe Sinclair as a quiet family man with a young daughter and another child on the way.
