Waterton issues cougar warning

The Waterton Park community and people visiting the park have been warned that cougars are frequenting the area.

Waterton Lakes National Park advises:

• Keep children close 
• Travel in groups 
• Consider carrying bear spray and or/a walking stick 
• Remain alert at all times, especially at dawn and dusk 
• Keep pets leashed 

Please report all cougar sightings immediately to the Waterton Emergency Line at 403-859-2636.
