"Shell is very happy to contribute," said a beaming and succint Melissa Friesen, after presenting a cheque for $5000 toward Crestview Lodge's ongoing Tranquility Park patio project. The cheque was gratefully received by Pincher Foundation CAO/Facility Manager Millie Loeffler and resident/ project mastermind John Sinnott. "It's very good," said Sinnott of the funds. "It will go a long ways toward finishing this project."

"We have already had a wiener roast for for Father's Day, and a marshmallow roast," said resident Helen Nelson. Her family helped tremendously with the construction that has already ocurred. "It's very good." Will you use it? I asked her. "Depends on the weather. If the weather's good, we will."

"We are ever so grateful for the the community support," said Loeffleur to Friesen and Shell. "We thank you ever so much for your generous contribution."

Tranquility Park committee member Barb Blackmer said "So far, it's good. Better when it's done." She said her fellow residents were becoming enthusiastic about the project. "I think they're quite interested in it right now. It will be well used, I think."

What's next? I asked John Sinnott. "That slab of cement for the gazebos," he replied. The gazebos will be located west of the big patio/firepit slab already in place.

A breezy Father's Day weenie roast
