Winning start to season for Pincher Creek's U12-2 Soccer team

Pincher Creek's U12-2 Soccer team (this week calling themselves "The Psychotic Soccer Players") hosted Sparwood 1 at the Memorial Community Centre field on the evening of Thursday May 8.  It was the second game of the season for Pincher Creek.  They tied their Pincher Creek U12-1 counterparts 4-4 last week.  They fared well against Sparwood too.  Pincher Creek was up 3-0 at the half after keeping the ball in Sparwood's end for much of the time,  and ultimately won the game 5-1.  Sparwood really came together in the second half, posing stiffer competition for the hometown team.

The weather was ideal for soccer, with clear skies and cool but not cold temperatures.  Likewise, you couldn't ask for better competition, with both teams playing a clean and upbeat game.  

"I have the greatest bunch of kids this year," affirmed Pincher Creek Coach Gayle MacIntyre.
