“The website features farmer stories, articles, videos and twitter feed,” says Ashley Steeple, EFP communication’s manager, Agricultural Research and Extension Council of Alberta (ARECA). “The new site makes it easier to find an EFP technician in your area and get started on completing an EFP.”
The Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) process helps producers identify and address environmental risks and opportunities in their operation by completing an EFP workbook. “Maintaining a healthy environment is essential to the success of Alberta's agricultural producers and an EFP shows a commitment to stewardship,” says Steeple.
A web version of the EFP Workbook will be released later this spring.
