Spring Glen Dancers begin mini-tour with a show at Vista Village

The Spring Glen Dancers from Hillspring and Glenwood (hence the name) debuted their 2014 extravaganza before a delighted Vista Village audience on the evening of April 1.  These talented ladies performed to a selection of 18 songs representing a very wide variety of music.  Each song involved a costume change as well, and as one group of dancers would exit the room another would enter.

It must have been exhausting, but if so they never showed it.  From jumping jazz to classical favourites, 50's pop and 80's rock, from country to soul, from Barbara Streisand to Eva Cassidy, and the very modern choreography accompanying the "Cups Song", the young ladies were a blur of non-stop entertainment. 

"Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past..."

 This was their first performance of the year.   Next they bring their art form to Raymond, and then they will be back in town at Crestview Lodge on Tuesday April 15, starting at 6:30 pm.  As good as the Vista Village show was, organizers promise it will be even better once they get a couple of performances under their feet.

Rumour has it the Spring Glen Dancers would love to have a few more venues to demonstrate their talent at.

A huge thank you from the audience, myself included, it was a terrific show with lots of variety and wonderful costuming too. Well done.
