Slippery road conditions likely responsible for no-injury accident on Highway 3

Chris Davis

At approximately 7:15 pm today Pincher Creek Emergency Services and area RCMP responded to a no-injury collision on Highway 3  near Munsels Crossing, the train bridge that crosses the highway just east of Pincher Creek.  A collided with the rear bumper of a tractor trailer, resulting in extensive damage to the driver-side front end of the car and little or no visible damage to the tractor trailer.  Pincher Creek Emergency Services assessed the occupants on-scene and released them as there were no injuries.  Road and weather conditions are believed to be factors in the collision, according to Emergency Service Chief Dave Cox.

At the time of writing this roads and highways in the area are still slippery and caution is advised.
