Cancer research study coming to Pincher Creek

Tomorrow Project Study Coordinator Kathleen Murdoch will be at Pincher Creek's Heritage Inn from March 31 to April 2 to host a mobile study centre to assist in cancer research. Over 35,000 Albertans have signed up for the Tomorrow Project, a nationwide study that will help researchers understand the causes of cancer.

Albertans keen to partake in the study must meet two eligibility criteria: they must be between the ages of 35-69 and never have been diagnosed with cancer, as this is a causative cohort based cancer research study.

Over 80 residents of Pincher Creek have booked appointments to attend already.

Started in Alberta, the Tomorrow Project will help researchers develop more effective prevention strategies by tracking participants over the course of their lives.

Study Centre details:
Monday, March 31st to Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014
Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre,
919 Waterton Avenue, Hwy #6, Pincher Creek AB
