Senior Boys basketball - Trojans defeat Dragons

St. Michael's Senior boys basketball team hosted the Coalhurst Trojans on January 15 in Pincher Creek.  The Dragons put in a good effort but the Trojans took the win 78-38 .

Crusaders #5 Lee Firth scored 25 points during the game, and teammate Stefan Hughes who scored 17 points.  Dragon Justice One-Owl had a chance to shine as well, scoring 12 points during the game with teammate Sam Parkinson scoring 10 points.

"This is their fourth game," Dragons Senior Boys Coach Frank Welsch.  This is his first year coaching the boys, and weather has interfered heavily with the game schedule.  "I was really happy with them.  It kind of got away from us in the second half.  They tried hard, I think we just got a little tired at the end.  We have some stuff to work on, conditioning, passing, rebounding, and getting more familiar with the plays."

"This is my first year for the boys, I previously coached the junior high boys for the school," said Trojans Senior Boys Coach Natasha Quinton.  "They have been doing really well.  We've had a good strong start, we had a couple of really tough games that started us off on the right foot, They were close.  We've been working really hard."
