Out and About: Bright clouds at night

Loretta Packham (Mrs. P) noticed a beautiful cloud formation on Friday, January 10, and tried to capture it. These were taken at about 9:30 pm from highway 507 looking southeast over the town of Pincher Creek.


"There were no other clouds in the sky, the stars were out, it was really pretty," said Packham. She remarked on how bright it was, drawing her attention.

Packham had heard that on Thursday January 9, there was expected to be a beautiful display of northern lights visable in our area at approximately 3:00 am, but was not up to see it.
