The Southwest Rockies came home Sunday with nothing to show for a South Central Alberta Bantam AA Hockey League road trip.
The Rockies lost 5-3 Saturday to Sylvan Lake Lakers and 7-2 Sunday to Red Deer Ramada as their record dropped to 3-8-1.
Next action for the Rockies is 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Pincher Creek when they host the Badlands Longhorns from Brooks.
Ramada 7 Rockies 2
The Ramada scored seven consecutive goals in the second and third periods Sunday and sent the Rockies packing with a 7-2 loss.
The Rockies opened the scoring with 49 seconds left in the first period when center Michael McTighe won the face-off to Jesson Luco, who passed to defenceman Tyson Goodreau, who fired the puck home for a powerplay goal.
The Rockies fans who made the trip had little to cheer for after that goal.
Red Deer scored five goals in the second period, including one on the powerplay, to lead 5-1.
The Ramada scored two goals just over a minute apart mid way through the third period to make it 7-1.
Colton Meade got that one back just 49 seconds later, with Jordan McAulay and Luco assisting.
Red Deer outshot the Rockies 49-15.
Lakers 5 Rockies 3
The Rockies collapsed in the third period Saturday, blowing a two-goal lead as Sylvan Lake Lakers scored five straight goals on their way to a 5-3 win.
The Rockies opened the scoring with just 54 seconds left in the first period on a goal by K’s Thomson, assisted by Michael McTighe and Nic Jordan.
Chaz Vance notched an unassisted marker mid way through the second to put the Rockies up 2-0.
Sylvan Lake scored goals a minute apart early in the third to tie the game.
Then the Lakers popped two more less than a minute apart to lead 4-2, and added a powerplay marker two minutes later to make it 5-2.
The Rockies got one back with 37 seconds left while enjoying the man advantage. Vance got his second of the game from McTighe and Cameron Gallant to make the final 5-3.
Sean Park made 42 saves in the Rockies goal. His teammates fired 31 shots at the Sylvan Lake goal.
