Athlete of the Day September 2, 2013: Cooper Zur

Willow Valley's Cooper Zur took first place in Bull Riding at the 2013 Pincher Creek High School Rodeo, held on Saturday and Sunday last weekend.

Zur scored 75 points on a Saturday re-ride and an incredible 86 points on his Sunday ride, which is rumoured to be a Pincher Creek High School Rodeo record.

In between it is reported he also had a great ride on Saturday evening at the 10th annual Glen Keeley Memorial Rodeo in Stavely.

Zur finished in third place at the 2012/13 Canadian High School Rodeo Finals held in Nanton at the end of July.

Up next for Zur is the Nanton High School Rodeo, to be held next weekend on September 7 and 8.
