Emergency Services responds to vehicle fire on Highway 22

On Thursday August 1 a tractor trailer travelling south on Highway 22 with a load of OSB (oriented strand board) caught fire at approximately 1:30 pm about 8 kilometers north of the Highway 3 junction.   Lundbreck Fire, Pincher Creek Fire and an ambulance responded.  Cowley Fire Department was called in later for more water and extra manpower.

The vehicle was separated from the load and traffic control was maintained until 11:30 pm.  No injuries were sustained and Fire Chief Dave Cox said he believed that part of the load may be salvageable.
