Pincher Creek Active Living Challenge participants have fun getting fit

The Town of Pincher Creek hosted the 2013 Active Living Challenge during the month of June.  All business and individuals were welcome to participate, and there were 7 teams with 45 individuals entered in to challenge themselves, each other, and have fun.  "That's the thing, it seemed like everyone had fun," said Town of Pincher Creek Summer Events Coordinator Caitlin Kerr.  Kerr visited participating businesses to let the teams know their standings.  "A lot of people were really proud of how well they did, and everybody did awesome."

Recreation Rascal’s averaged 320 points

Points were awarded based an activities and healthy living and included aspects like diet, and levels and duration of exercise.  Participants tracked their efforts for the month of June, and awards were donated by local businesses.

Gut Busters - Town Office Team averaged 290 points

The female with the highest points was Sherry Belanger from the recreation team with a whopping 776 points.  The male with the highest points was Town Bylaw Enforcement Officer Gord Pitt with 550 points.

Money Movers - Credit Union Team averaged 285 points

Susan Hochstein of the Credit Union was the second place ladies contestant with 453 points and Jason Wagenaar of the M.D of Pincher Creek was second place for the men with 318 points.

M.D Pioneers - M.D of Pincher Creek Team averaged 280 points

Shootin’ To Get Fit - Shootin’ the Breeze/Robin & Co Team averaged 266 points
