Pincher Creek Voice reader Kim Buckingham sent in these pictures of her new home in Taber, just after a hail storm struck there at approximately 10:00 pm this evening.
According to Buckingham there was about 20 minutes of hail resulting in an accumulation about a foot deep on the level. She estimates the water on the street in front of her house is two feet deep, with hail floating on top of it.

Kim, her husband Bruce , and her son Thane (a Pincher Creek Mustang) are just moving into the house, which is located in the northwest area of Taber.
The Southern Alberta Summer Games are currently underway in Taber as well, meaning lots of other people from Pincher Creek are in the area.
"It was like a winter snowstorm, only it's hail," continued Buckingham. I've never seen anything like it in my life. It's all over town, I think. There's cars stuck on the street trying to drive..."

According to Buckingham "The pictures did not do it justice. I swear it was not believable at first when I opened the door and saw hail two feet high molded against it."
