Foothills 4-H Beef Club donated $850.00 to the Pincher Creek Care Bears Society on July 12, at the club's Award Ceremony Supper.  "We love the support of people like you, that we can continue," said Doris Rowledge who accepted the check with Pat Bratz.

Foothills 4-H Beef Club raised a charity steer that was cared for by Kyla and Stuart Lewis during the club season. The steer was purchased by the Pincher Creek Veterinary Clinic during the club's annual achievement day.  As per the wishes of the club members the proceeds were split equally between two charities, one that supports locally and one that has a more global impact. Locally they chose Pincher Creek Care Bears Society that has volunteer drivers take people to appointments.  The other charity they supported was Free the Children, and international organization that helps free children from slave labour and escape poverty throughout the world.
