What’s open:
  • Red Rock Parkway is now open
  • Townsite Campground
  • Chief Mountain Highway and the Belly River Campground
  • Hiking trails are being assessed - use caution around creek crossings and be aware of possible washouts.

What’s closed:
  • There is a Closure Notice for both Parkways because of dangerous road conditions and heavy equipment working, which includes hikers and cyclists.
  • Akamina Parkway remains closed indefinitely to ALL users (vehicles, hikers, cyclists, and equestrians).
  • Now that water volume has dropped, crews are able to work on clearing the Red Rock Parkway. It may re-open this weekend.
  • Crandell Mountain Campground, Coppermine Creek Day Use Area and Canyon Youth Camp are closed..
