Pincher Creek is the hub of many cultural and year round recreational activities. A vast array of outdoor activities such as Skiing (Castle Mountain 30 min away) as well as Hunting and world class fishing.   Pincher Creek is one of Alberta’s best kept secrets. 

Job Classification:  Article 14 a .i. Full Time Permanent Employee CUPE
Rate of Pay: $22.65/hr Probation / $ 25.97 /hr Job Rate after 6 month probation

Qualifications required and nature of duties:

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Maintenance worker 2 is responsible for assisting with the construction and maintenance of streets, utilities, facilities, and parks and open spaces infrastructure

This position may require rotational shift work in the Recreation facilities

Post secondary education in municipal works considered an asset for this position.  The Town of Pincher Creek recognizes Water /Wastewater certification as an asset and has a wage premium compensation package for this certification

Valid Alberta Driver Licence - Class V

Class 3 with Q endorsement would be looked on as an asset.

The Town of Pincher Creek has an “On-Call” system in place.  Call Outs shall be paid in accordance with Article 4 and 6 of the C.U.P.E Local 927 Collective Agreement.
