Chris Davis, Pincher Creek Voice
Gibson Lessard is one of the entrants in the Pincher Creek and District Chamber of Commerce's 'Dreaming of Summer Holiday' Lego Contest. His entry is based on Reptile World in Drumheller, which he hopes to visit during his upcoming summer vacation. His creation includes tourists looking at 4 exhibits: a red eyed tree frog, a rattlesnake, an alligator, and a poisonous frog.
Lessard is 7 years old in Grade 2 at St. Michael's School. He has gone to Reptile World during a class field trip, and will be re-visiting it this summer with his family. He was enthusiastic in his review of that attraction, saying it was home to snakes, lizards, frogs, toads, alligators, crocodiles, and turtles.
I really like to build with Lego," said Lessard, who also enjoys soccer and Tae Kwon Do.
There will be a family Lego building activity from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm today, Friday June 7 at the Chamber of Commerce store in the Ranchland Mall. Winners of all 4 categories in the Lego Contest will be announced around 5:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
