Pincher Creek hosted Crowsnest Pass for a U-16 game played on the Matthew Halton field on the evening of May 16, 2013. This was the third game of the season for the Pincher Creek U-16 team, and their second home game.
Both teams made inroads into each other's territories during the first half, were moving well on the field with some good steals and quality back and forth action. Pincher held to their patterns better while CNP played a more aggressive game. It was good to watch these two teams face each other because they appeared to be evenly matched but with different strategies. The first goal of the game was by CNP's Chris Cail, the only goal in the first half.
Pincher scored early in the second half and that seemed to rally some of their players. There were a few moments when Pincher players showed hesitation going for the ball and it cost them. CNP took charge and gained control of the ball, even if they didn't always manage to keep it. CNP scored twice more in the game bringing the final score to 1 - 3 for CNP.
