Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village (KBPV) was the recipient of a $9,228 Government of Alberta Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) grant that was presented in person by Banff-Cochrane MLA Ron Casey on Friday May 24 to Pincher Creek and District Historical Society (PCDHS) President Colleen Cyr.

PCDHS manages KBPV, an historical facility in the heart of downtown Pincher Creek. Casey is the Rural Caucus Chair for the Government of Alberta, and he has been traveling through southern Alberta delivering CFEP cheques in person.

According to Cyr, the money is destined to be used towards electrical work and boardwalk construction related to KBPV's 1920's themed expansion.  "It's the glue," she said.  "The stuff people can't see that holds it all together."
