'Prairie Grass to Mountain Pass' book launch Gala to include auction of special items

Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village (KBPV) will be releasing 'Prairie Grass to Mountain Pass'  at a Gala event to be heldWednesday  May 29, 2013 starting at 7:00 pm.  'Prairie Grass to Mountain Pass'  is  a book about local history that KBPV Curator Farley S. Wuth has been updating extensively for several years.


During the Gala there will be book signings, entertainment, and an auction.

An auction will be held during the event and will feature three key items.  The first book to be owned by a member of the public of this edition will be auctioned.  The second piece will be a pristine copy of the original edition from the 1970's. Both of these are special and coveted pieces.  The third is an undeniably unique item.   It is a hand drawn sketch of a portion of the Main Street display in KBPV.

This lovely drawing was produced and donated to Kootenai Brown by actress and artist Niamh Wilson while she was in the area filming 'The Young and Prodigious Spivet' in August, 2012.  Wilson generously donated the drawing, in hopes that it would help with fundraising efforts for KBPV.  The movie is expected to be released late in 2013.
