Four Pincher Creek Mustangs football players were invited to play at the Southern Alberta Minor Football Association (SAMFA) game held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Lethbridge.

Hayden Varley, Kyle Knowlton, Ben Riviere, and Troy Pittman are all Junior High School Mustang players that participated.

They joined the black team.  The White team won 14 - 9, but  Pincher Creek participants received some great accolades at the Awards Ceremony held at the Coast Hotel in Lethbridge.

Coaches Dan Crawford, Tyler Pittman and Stan Walker won Coaching Staff of the Year Award for the league.  and Ben Riviere received the trophy for the Top Defensive Player for the League.

SAMFA includes football players from 10 communities in southern Alberta, ranging from Medicine Hat in the east to Pincher Creek in the west.
