Canyon School student achieves top math scores locally and nationally

Canyon School awarded Grade Four student Jiwon Shin the Super Mathlete Award today. Shin had the highest score in the school for this week, and today  May 2, 2013 she had the highest score in Canada for a period of time with 10,240 points total.

The Super Mathlete Award is given out weekly at Canyon School for the student to display in their classroom. Canyon School is involved in a national initiative to recognize and encourage mathematical abilities, the schools involved in this program track students on a rating system that is constantly being compiled.  The school was going to start the weekly award program next week, but wanted to recognize her achievement.
