Worker Solidarity increases across Alberta

Rob Bernshaw, Letter to the Editor

Well Alberta, with more solidarity being shown everyday in the strike for better and safer working conditions here in Alberta correctional facilities, how do you feel now about a government which at every turn is showing incompetence in decisions being made?

With the two employees let go because of raising legitimate health and safety concerns it seems that the whistle blower legislation has no teeth for any Albertan?

If this recent wildcat strike of valued Correctional Officers doesn't show Albertans the perpetual contempt of the Alberta Tories towards the health and safety of us workers then nothing will. While broken promises continue to flow unabated by the Alberta Tory government of the day are the taxpayers and voters here in Alberta losing confidence in the lavish patronage and entitlement attitude of the 42 year Alberta Tory regime currently in power?

How long will Alberta taxpayers and voters  allow the bullying and intimidation to progressively continue towards our fellow Alberta workers that deserve fully to go home at the end of the day to their families and loved ones?

What will it take to place a vote of non-confidence towards a government that clearly has lost it's way in what it takes to govern a province as diverse and rich as Alberta?

From a very concerned Canadian and Albertan.
