The South Western Junior High Athletic Association (SWJHAA) League Badminton Finals were held at Matthew Halton School in Pincher Creek on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

Livingstone School's Ross Cook (Juvenile Boys Singles Bronze) returns a serve

Participating schools/towns included:
  • F.P. Walshe, Fort Macleod (FPW)
  • Tatsikiisapo'p, Kainai (TMS)
  • Willow Creek Composite High School, Claresholm (WCCHS)
  • Crowsnest Pass (CNP)
  • Livingstone, Lundbreck (LHS)
  • St. Michael's, Pincher Creek (STM)
  • Matthew Halton, Pincher Creek (MHHS)
Isabelle Charette
Five courts were set up in the Matthew Halton School gym, and the pace was brisk as the tournament progressed through a total of 114 matches (results below).  Coaches and organizers again deserve a special note of thanks for pulling off another very successful tournament, particularly since there were some last minute changes necessitated by the elimination of St. Michael's School gym due a scheduling conflict.

This coming weekend the students are off to the Zones tournament in Medicine Hat.  Good luck!
